Remember this?
I went to the U.S. Embassy today. I totally felt like I was in Passport to Paris...don't pretend like you never watched it. I know you all love Mary Kate and Ashley movies;)
While we were there they talked to us about the Organization of Economic Creation and Development. It was a good change after practically living fashion for the past week and half. They talked about the requirements of OECD membership and how the group is trying to encourage other nations such as China, India, and Brazil to employ and comply with these ethical practices as they are becoming leaders in world trade and the economy. I used to avoid anything involving the government, but since my business law class I have really began to understand the concepts and understand the importance of knowing how governments work and the status of international relations. I would love to learn more. There's actually and OECD iPhone/iPod app which you may find interesting. And if you don't find it interesting, it will at least make you sound impressive and intellectual when you whip out the facts! That's my plan at least.
After that we made feather headbands. With real bird feathers! I'll have to get a pic sometime for you I'm just too lazy right now. For dinner it was more boiled carrots. But I did introduce cashews today! I needed some fat and protein. I apologize for the constant update on my diet. Oh and I may have introduced a crepe. A nutella and banana crepe with ice cream sounded AMAZING but i stuck with a plain crepe with honey. We'll see what happens-pray!
Then we spent the past hour walking along the Seine River, we went by the Notre Dame and a beautiful ice skating rink. It was great to walk off that crepe!
Tomorrow we are going to an Art Deco exhibit. I have the afternoon off and I plan to go to Nike and buy myself sneakers (I'm going through running withdrawal!--and did I mention I brought one of my sneakers, one of my sister's sneakers--both the left foot...no good). I also plan to check out European Gap and hit up starbucks. Aiming for cultural diversity tomorrow obviously;)
Good night!
I'll be doing hw for the next couple hours.."Midterms".
I loved Passport to Paris, haha. I can't wait to see your feather headband!
